Meet Art Brune, a St. Clair Shores native, and his wife and business partner, Kelly, a Clinton Twp native. Together, they have set roots in Armada, Michigan, where they live with their two daughters.
Together, with faith at the core of everything they do, they were able to expand on their dream of business ownership where their values can be passed on through each project. Being good stewards of their talents by offering their expertise to each of their customers is of utmost importance to them.
When not in the office, Art enjoys a good round of golf, while Kelly will be found tending to her gardens. The girls are busy with their education and horseback riding. As a family, they love being together and being involved with their church.
With over 25 years of experience in the painting field, they set out to a new beginning and started Ark Painting Inc. to share their strengths with the community.
Since the business began in 2016, they have enjoyed the many new relationships that formed along their journey, expanding the Ark Painting family of professionals and the many blessings that have ensued.

Each product has a unique cure time. If proper curing has not occurred then it may result in denting and/or sticking. For walls it typically takes two weeks. For mantels and shelves it typically takes two or more weeks.
We can assist in moving furniture if needed for larger items. We require that all small items of furniture, pictures and valuables be removed by our customers prior to us arriving.
EXTERIOR: Step one is to pressure wash the areas that will be receiving paint. Then scrape any peeling paint and caulk all necessary areas. Our craftsman and women will then check for any rotted boards that may need replacing. Next, they will apply protection to all surrounding surfaces that could be affected by overspray or brush strokes. They will use plastic, painters tape, brown paper and tarps. Once the areas have been fully prepared then the painting can begin. As soon as the painting is complete, the clean up begins. They will remove and properly dispose of all materials used for prep and leave any remaining paint for the homeowner.
INTERIOR: Step one is to cover and protect all surfaces and furniture that will remain in the room using plastic, painters tape and tarps. Next our craftsman and women will remove all hardware and switch plate covers. They will then repair any blemishes on the walls and ceilings. Next, they will sand and prime the repairs. Once all surfaces have been fully prepared they will begin to apply the paint. As soon as the paint is applied then the clean up begins. They will remove and properly dispose of all materials used for prep and leave any remaining paint for the homeowner.
At Ark Painting Inc. we use top quality products by Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, and Pittsburgh Paints. The proper products for each specific project will vary and be chosen taking into consideration location and specific needs and desires.
To be understanding that your home will be in slight disarray during the process and that each day our craftsman and women will be diligent about straightening up the site before they leave for the day. They will do their best to respect your time and your family, but many items such as ladders, paint cans, totes full of tools, etc. will be left on site until we return.
